The key ingredient of any relationship is trust. This considerate approach is the fastest way to change negative animal behaviours, eradicating outdated beliefs based on domination.

The Trust Technique does not recognize that there is such a thing as a bad animal or person, only an opportunity for healing. The positive change is a combined process, a journey that enhances the lives of both.

How many times have you tried to communicate with your animal, only to find that their minds are far to busy to even notice you, let alone hear you? Of course if you try to be louder or even dominate this situation, guess what, it will make the animals mind increase even more, until you have taught them to switch off or become fearful.

Animals minds can be busy for a number of different reasons from excitement to pure fear.

They are conditioned responses and reactions.

A busy mind is the number 1 reason for any behavioral problem.

The Trust Technique breaks reactional thinking and creates a listening environment for both the animal and the person. Learning both the animal and the person. Leaving both the animal and the human in a neutral state of mind. This creates super fast learning!

Making it a fantastic tool to aid any type of training or discipline, from whispering, to conventional, agility, riding, for all ages and all breeds. If it thinks the Trust Technique can help!

Giving you the power to help your animals and support them. In the case of fearful animals you will reduce their thinking to the point where they are no longer generating anxiety and this allows, your animal to see its environment in a completely different way.

When peaceful the animal becomes self aware and learns his or her lessons. This is why you can have such quick and long lasting change using the Trust Tecnique.

Animal and humans react in many ways. Sometimes it is genuinely the animal is over thinking and the human adds to the pain by reacting back to the situation.

Other times it’s the humans emotional state that the animal is reacting to, which then in turn makes tthe person even more volatile and emotional, the cycle is created.

The Trust Technique address both situations. It effects the animals and more importaantly the person’s mindset. It’s amazing how animals and people attract each other and just under the surface is usually a huge healing opportunity for both parties.

Stress causes physical problems. Science shows us that our stressful thoughts can and will affect our bodies over time, this is not a new understanding. Simply put if we create a state of “peace of mind” this then allows our bodies, be this human or animal to get on with one of the most natural process…Healing.

The Trust Technique is a simple and profound technique that easily creates this state. Making it not only a valuable tool for helping your animals health and well being but also your own! For complete information on learning this technique please visit, http://www.allthebestpetcare.org

When we facilitate energy healing for another, whether it be a person or an animal, the energy runs through us first, then it runs through the person or animal we are helping. Whenever we do energy work, the energetic process and technique we are facilitating affects us as well. If we are doing a chakra balance, then our own chakras will be balanced at the same time. As you work, set the intention for yourself as well as the person or the animal you are working with. Let the energetic flow facilitate your self-healing and growth every time you help another in their healing process. When working with animals, the energetic flow is accessed at a greater volume because of the animal’s instinctive acceptance to the work. When you are working on a horse, for example, realize the energy mass is approximately 8 times your energy mass. Let the energy flow through you with the intention to facilitate the horses needs. The volume of energy flowing through your body will help to clear your energy field, creating balance and strengthening the foundation of your own chakra system. It is my experience, that the self-healing process accelerates as we work with the animals. Working with the horses allows your own baggage to come up. It is then your responsibility to look at this “baggage” to allow for the energetic clearing. The large volume of energy flowing through us, helps us to clear on all levels of the energy field, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. As our energy field clears, it also allows us to be a clearer conduit for the energy work. Keeping ourselves clear and open to the self-healing process will accelerate our own energy vibration. Therefore, it is important to recognize that we should receive energy treatment on a regular basis. Addresssing our own needs and engaging in a regular energy treatment protocol for ourselves, will not only assist with our self-healing, but it will make us a better facilitator for our work.

Our mission is to help our pets unwind from stress, tension, and disease and to provide a new reference forQuantum Wellness as we enter into the new season emerging here on Planet Earth. Managing the phsiological responses to stress is critical to survival. 85% of all disease is a result of stress. Cold lasers (also known as soft & low level lasers) work like sunlight on a garden. The sunlight donates energy (photons) which nourishes the plants to grow healthy and strong. Cold lasers donate energy/photons to cells which stimulates the mitochondria to produce more ATP, the energy engine of our cells. More ATP energy means healthier cells to regenerate and help the body heal itself! This laser helps animals that have muscle and joint pain, arthritis, muscle spasms, increases blood circulation, and aids in relaxation.

This is going to sound a bit strange but, one of the best ways a horse owner can eliminate and unwanted horse behavior, is to make it your idea. At first thought, this might not make sense. But as you move along in your horse training you’re going to find out that “reverse psychology” works very well, when training horses. When a horse does something you don’t want, steal the thought from him and make it look like you’re asking him to do it. Pretty soon the horse is going to loose interest in the bad behavior. Horses are kind of like teenagers. Here are a couple of areas where this idea can be applied. Your horse puts his front feet in the trailer, but won’t go any further: If your horse won’t get in a trailer, steal his thought by asking him to get out of the trailer. For this to work, the timing has to be just right. So you want to just casually ask him to walk into the trailer and note how long it takes him to start backing out. If its three seconds, then walk him into the trailer, and you ask him to back out at 2 seconds. When we take an idea a horse has and make it our own, and act on it just before he does, he’ll start to see us in a leadership position. You can’t catch your horse: One area where this technique works really real is when trying to get a harness on a hard-to-catch horse. A good way to work with a horse like that is to walk away from the horse, instead of chasing him around.

Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation is a healing technology that locates areas of the animals nervous system that has fallen out of communication, and re-establishes neuronal communication and thus induces healing. VOM is singularly the most simple, effective and safe healing modality in veterinary care to date. For the VOM practitioner it is an exquisitely objective, fast and easy to apply technology that takes a minimum of time to master and whose scope of application has yet to be fully appreciated. VOM exists in between veterinary medicine and chiropractic care. It has similarities to some of the chiropractic modalities and functions by restoring function by reducing “subluxations” as is done chiropractic care. It uses a hand-held device that is used in a popular human chiropractic technique called “Activator Methods” but it is not to be confused with that technique. The differences between VOM and Chiropractic care are significant and distinct. VOM exists in a gray area between both professions (Veterinary and Chiropractic) and benefits from the positive aspects of both, a hybrid, and thus more effective than either by themselves. Vom is not animal chiropractic care and thus is not taught by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. VOM is formally recognized in Washington State, by the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the Maine Veterinary Medical Association, and the German Shepherd Clubs of America, to name a few. Vom was developed by Wm. L. Inman BS, DVM, CVCP, in Seattle WA. in Dr. Inman’s clinical practice from July of 1982 to date. Before Dr. Inman began using these non-invasive techniques he was an accomplished veterinary surgeon and still consults in veterinary surgery. His vacillation to VOM from surgery reflects his frustration in ineffective surgical solutions to common veterinary medical problems. VOM was developed in a vacuum, meaning it was developed with a trial and error approach in a clinical setting without input from other sources. Dr. Inman has been the sole source of the VOM technology. The body of the VOM technology is the culmination of information gleaned from over 35,000 patients treated for clinical disease. Ray Mashler of Treasure Coast Pet Massage is certified in VOM but it requires veterinary affiliation or permission from veterinarian to perform this service.

These days everyone wants to bond with their horse. If yo want to bond with your horse, you’re going to earn his trust first. This id done by becoming a leader for your horse. Bonding with your horse includes two types of activities, excercises that earn trust and respect and laid back activities that just involve spending time with your horse. #1. Keep up Groundwork- Groundwork exercises are vital for establishing a good relationship with your horse. Your daily routine with your horse should include a groundwork session with your horse no matter how well trained or behaved he is. #2. Touch Your Horse- Your horse should allow you to touch him all over. Also, you should be able to touch him and have him remain in relaxed state. This means you should work on dropping his head, and have him keep his head lowered. Then you should be able to touch him all over without his head coming up. This includes picking up his feet and his tail. #3 Save Treats for Downtime- A horse won’t respect you if you ask him to do something with a treat, or attempt to calm a spooky or scared horse with treats. Save treats for grooming or visits to the pasture. #4 Use Good Body Language- When you’re with your horse, don’t look tentative or slouch. Horses are looking for strong body language which is the sign of a confident leader. So keep good posture and walk out assertively when you’re with your horse. #5. Groom Your Horse- Horses love being groomed aand grooming your horse is a good way to establish a relationship with him. Take some time for long grooming sessions and rinsing with a horse in summer months. Its an easy way to bond with your horse. However make sure you don;t do this without working on leadership, otherwise your horse might just take the opportunity to dominate you. #6. Sit with Your Horse in the Pasture- The simple act of spending time with your horse without asking her to work is a good way to bond with your horse. Take a chair out to the paddock and just sit down. Let her go about her horsey business. If she comes over, offer a pet and some soft words. #7. Take Your Horse for a Walk- You’re going to look silly to the neighbors. They’re going to wonder why you’re not riding the horse, but taking a walk down the trail with your horse is a good way to bond. Put a lead rope and halter on your horse and take a day now and then to take him out just for a plain walk. Let him do some grazing on the vegetation growing on the side of the road (if you have any in your area). Just take an easy going stroll without asking your horse for much. This is a good way to get your horse to being out on the trail. If he’s barn sour it lets you work on that without the issues that come along with riding your horse.

Just like humans, domesticated animals like dogs, cats, and horses are affected by the health hazards of modern living. Pollution, poor nutrition, stress and unhealthy lifestyles can lead to a variety of illnesses and conditions that are very similar to those experienced by humans. In fact, many, if not most pet health concerns can be addressed by helping your pets to live a healthier lifestyle. While it has its place, conventional medicine for animals and ‘modern technology’ have failed our pets in many ways. According to pet expert and author CJ Puotinen, most holistic veterinarians and animal health care professionals list annual vaccinations and commercial pet foods as the major contributory cause in the rising rates of chronic illness in pets today. Similarily, Juliette de Bairacli, respected author and renowned animal breeder, points out that contrary to the belief that mass vaccination and antibiotic use will contribute to a decrease in disease, the opposite has in fact proved true. Like their human counterparts, today’s pets are becoming more vulnerable to chronic disease and ill health. This has led many veterinarians to search for alternatives and to espouse more holistic methods of keeping our pets healthy. “In the wild, animals instinctively seek out healing herbs to help them when they are ill or undernourished. In fact, Asclepius, the ancient Greek god of medicine, respected dogs very highly for their ability to seek out and eat medicinal herbs in the wild. This ability is shared by other animals, including cats. We are coming to realize that nature oftens has the answers-but animals have always known this! Natural medicine can help your pet just as it can help you. While there is always a place for conventional veterinary medicine, natural medicine can compliment conventional veterinary care and in many cases do just as well.

A good way to desensitize your horse is to do what Parelli calls “extreme friendly game”. To do it, all you need is to put a halter and lead rope on your horse, and hold him there while you swing a carrot stick around his body. This is basically a stick with a rope attached to the end. This can take the place of a standard whip or crop. Having the rope on the end is a really nice training aid, you can get your horse’s attention by swinging it and hitting the ground with it, or giving your horse a little smack with the end of the rope if he needs it. The idea behind extreme friendly game is to start standing in front of your horse, and begin swinging the rope of the carrot stick vigorously over the top of your horse’s head. If your horse isn’t 100% bomb proof, this is going to freak your horse out. After swinging it over the head, you want to walk entirely around the body of the horse, swinging the rope around smacking the ground with it. When a horse is desensitized, he will just stand there calmly. If your horse walks toward you do not make the #1 mistake many horse owners make, by asking for a backup which is re-inforcing his escape impulse. You don’t remove the bad stimulus until the horse stops moving. Asking the horse for a back-up is appropriate, because you don’t want a horse invading your personal space and risking inkury. But, you should keep the rope swinging over his head as you ask for the backup. Then, stop swinging the rope when his feet stop moving. This teaches the horse to remain calm when feeling threatened. Under your direction that is. Well this little example shows that when you do things with horses can have large consequences.

More and more veterinarians, pet owners and health professionals are trying their hand at acupuncture for horses. It used to be that acupuncture was only used on humans but it is becoming more popular to see it being used for pets as well as large animals. Acupuncture was developed thousands of years ago in Ancient China and is used widely to help people that suffer with chronic pain as well as for improving overall health. The treatment is much like acupressure as it works with specific pressure points on the body to gain certain results. The main difference between the two treatments is that acupuncture utilizes the use of very fine needles to the specific pressure points rather than just pressure with hands or fingers. The same principles are used when acupuncture is used for horses. One of the main advantages of acupuncture for horses is that it can help to treat pain as well as lameness. It has been found that by using acupuncture on a horse with an injured limb, the pain is relieved and the healing time is accelerated. This keeps horses from having to go through a long and painful recovery. The main idea of acupuncture is to help balance out ones ‘Chi’ or energy flow. This allows the body to heal much faster. It allows people as well as horses to have more balance in their overall health. The acupuncture helps us to redirect ones energy flow which can help with a variety of medical issues. Studies have shown that when a horse is dealing with a painful trauma and recovery may take quite some time, acupuncture can help. It works as a natural pain reliever because it helps to stimulate the production of the hormones called enkephlines and metenlephlines, which are analgesic. The other great benefit is that it also works as an anti-inflammatory so that it can help to reduce swelling in the area of trauma. It has also been found that by using acupuncture on high strung horses, it can help to calm them and even out their emotions. If you have a horse that has been having trouble with their gait or your horse has had an injury, you should talk with your veterinarian to see if acupuncture is an option for you. Keep in mind that not all vets are trained to perform acupuncture on horses so you may need to do a bit of checking to find a vet or other animal health professional that meets your needs. While traditional treatments may still be necessary, you can certainly help the healing process along for your horse by imlementing acupuncture treatment to help speed healing time and to relieve the pain and swelling of an injury. Acupuncture is not just for people anymore.

Originating from the province of the Netherlands, the Friesian horse is a beauty to behold. stately and nimble in size these horses where once in great demand for warfare driving them to near extinction. If you are looking to purchase a Friesian you should take a few things into consideration.

Cross-breeding throughout the years has led to many variations of this graceful beauty but if you are looking for a pure-bred then you should keep a few things in mind.

It is crucial to find out if the horse is KFPS registered. All registered horses will either have a tongue tattoo, before the ’99 year period, and more recent horses were given a microchip. Older horses need to be checked for both as there was some crossover. The chip or the tattoo should match the passport. You should never accept a horse without its appropriate paperwork.

You should determine whether the Friesian is a good horse or not. commonly those horses coming from a first, second or even third premie studbook will be of better quality. If it is possible for you to attend a training day inspection, you should! You will be able to gain useful knowledge from the KFPS website to determine what you are getting before you make a purchase. If the Friesian was a premie grade then you should determine if this was recent, as an adult, or when it was a foal.

Like with any living breathing purchase you want to make sure that it is in good health. In the Netherlands the horses where generally used for farm work and their health was not always a main concern. Demand a check from a veterinarian prior to the Friesian sale to ensure you are getting a great horse! Overworked horses will show signs on their hooves.

In order to ensure you are getting the best breed possible you should have the horse checked for worms, aortal ruptures as well as male castration. Make sure the Friesian has had its shots; mud fever, heel mites and checked for skin conditions.

Remember when you’re buying a Friesian (under the age of 3) they are much different from other breeds, so when someone tells you that their Friesian is ‘saddle’ trained, a red flag should go off. A Friesian may have ‘limited’ experience with a saddle, since at that age a Friesian is still considered to be a baby. It should (will) take you a fair amount of time and effort in order to get your new ‘baby’ where you want them to be regarding saddle riding.

When purchasing a Friesian you are going to want to make sure that all of your facts are correct and that you have correctly verified all of your research. A second opinion is never a bad option, and cross referencing with the KFPS is always a good idea. Please see; Friesian Sale

Once again buying a Friesian is not like buying any other horse. The ‘average’ price is approximately $6,500 and can step up to $125,000, and even up to $1,000,000+. At these prices it gives a new meaning to the term “doing your homework”.
